How Multi Factor Authentication Works

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is an authentication method that relies on the end-user being able to provide two or more pieces of information that can be used to validate the end-user’s identity.

With My1Login, an administrator can enable MFA and make it a requirement that users need to provide additional information to verify their identity. This can be applied to all users or a subset of users depending on business requirements.

My1Login allows uses to authenticate themselves via Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, and Duo Security. These can be set up by one of your My1Login admin users by going to the administrator portal and selecting Security -> Authentication. In this same page you can also specify any users or workgroups that would be exempt from completing 2FA.
